Fanatics, which runs most of the NBA’s branded storefronts, is applying for a gambling sportsbook license. Rubin, who is the co-owner of the 76ers, is one of the biggest voices in the NBA, and is now seeking a license for his sportsbook.

While most casinos have adopted a more traditional approach, several new casinos have started integrating sports wagering into their offerings. New Jersey has become the largest state to legalize sports wagering, with 20 tribal casinos expected to launch sportsbooks by 2021. While most sportsbooks have opted to use traditional sportsbook branding, the introduction of a mobile or online version of an existing gambling site may not be enough to make it a viable business.
